The Big ONE!

The parties keep on going when you hit the big O-N-E!!!

I have been a busy little guy this last week between parties, play dates and 1 year old check-ups.  Dr. Dana was impressed by my strength and coordination but she certainly thought I was a crazy little monkey. Who me?!?!  Look at how I have grown in just one year!!! (I am thinking that these stats should be good for the basket ball court.)

I am a big little dude!
Mommy organized a great birthday for me.  In addition to the party at Noni & Papa's house, we had a fun family day followed by a friends party over the weekend.

If you are wondering how I spent my 'perfect' birthday, it involved mulitple play dates and tearing it up on the playground!  Ahmad and Natalie came for lunch, then I hit the park with my pal, Lucy.  Daddy came home early from work and we had lots of fun singing, banging on 'drums' and eating cookies!!

Lucy- let's race up to our tree house...

I liked feeding daddy my cookies too!
I am a lucky little boy and had story time with both mommy and daddy before bed!

On Saturday Auntie Kelly and Mommy worked hard at crafting an amazing construction birthday party.  We had it at our new house.  Despite the 100 degree weather it was 'loads' of fun!  My mommy, daddy and I are blessed to have such amazing friends and family.  We appreciate everyone coming out for my big day!

Festive indeed.

Chicks 'dig' me! *Thanks Gio!

May need these construction cones for me rather than the house demo!

Pool time with my buddies- Kaden & Luke

The most exciting news of the day was that my Godmother, Auntie Jen, and Pat got ENGAGED!!! We are so happy for the two of them and look forward to celebrating!!!

I am happy to be 1! Life is good.

Well, that is all for now folks!

ten, eleven, TWELVE months old

I made it to the big ONE, what a year it has been!

Time is flying by and I am not giving my mommy much time to blog these days.  She was right, as soon as I started moving the days of me sitting were over!  Action Jackson, Jack Attack, Turbo Jack -- all of these nick names fit me well-- I love to be on the go!!!

TEN MONTHS OLD-

Mommy was excited to take me to buy my first pair of shoes.  I was a great shopping companion and learned how to swipe her credit card!

First Bike Trip!!! I did really well and loved the wind in my face.  Daddy and I biked 17 miles-- Aunt Janet, Grandma and Mommy were my entertainment while we rode.

Uncle Mike is already teaching me how to play basketball.  I have learned how to dribble and he tells me that I have a good arm.  Hey, what can I say, I learned from the best.  I really like going to the Olympic Club to watch his games.  Uncle Mike and I do drills at half time.  I can't wait until I am on a team some day!

I love park dates with my girlfriends!!! At ten months I started to become a little less interested in the swing and more interested in exploring EVERYTHING around.

Ella and I sharing a swing and Abby cheering us on.
Abby and I having a serious conversation.

Ella -"Jack, your blueberry looks pretty yummy"
Charlotte, Lucy & I.

We love to bang and play in the sand!!!
My first word -- "DOG" ... I get so excited when I see a dog, I prefer the real thing but I will take what I can get -- I like seeing them in books too!

Jacob and I love standing at the window looking at Noni & Papa's crew of dogs.

Eleven MONTHS OLD-

Unfortunately, Mommy got me this baby zoo.  At first I thought it was pretty entertaining but quickly realized I do not like it when she closes the gate!  I prefer it when the gate stays open so I can shake it like a wild monkey.

Grandma, Mommy and I went on a beautiful hike in Mill Valley and I saw the ocean for the first time.  Boy, do I love getting dirty! Grandma got right down in the wet sand with me :)

Whenever I have the chance I love playing with my cousin Jacob.

Is it possible that Jackson and I are only 10 days apart?!?!

Our moms really put us through the ringer.  But seriously, I promise, our feet are only 10 days apart.  I am a BEAST!!

I attended my first wedding in May when Mommy's college friend, Barbara, married Brian up in Napa. It was a beautiful celebration, well at least what I saw of it--  Grandma picked me up so I could go to bed on time.  Mommy and daddy had a blast dancing the night away.
Stunning bride.

There were 6 Paradise babies born within 18 months and 5 babes came to the wedding.  (Mommy lived in a house they refer to as 'Paradise' her Junior year at Santa Clara.)  What fun I had meeting all the babes that flew in from Seattle and Portland.

Maybe the biggest news is that I started WALKING!!! WAWHOO!! Now I can really move!  It started with just 2 steps, then 3, then 4, then 6, then 8 and by 11.5 months, mommy and daddy started calling me a walker!

Twelve MONTHS OLD- The BIG ONE!!!

Noni and Papad had a great big family birthday BBQ for Jacob and I.  We had lots of fun with our cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and of course our favorites (Mommy & Daddy!!).  Grandma made delicious cupcakes.  At first I was not sure but then I dug right in!

The big ONE.  It has been a wild year and can't wait for more adventures!
